Hi Everyone,
Private citizens with disabilities have had the right to sue Federal Agencies who violate our rights for over 40 years. Now they want to make it harder. I hope that you vote these conservatives out during the mid-terms in the fall. In the meantime, continue to contact your Federal Representatives and Senators and tell them that we will not tolerate going backward.
It isn’t just the Rehabilitation Act the Department of Justice wants to by-pass. The right to have communication in your preferred language is within Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The Deaf community has used this successfully before. It is a mark of arrogance that the DOJ wants to deny segments of the American population of any right.
